You would be totelement disarmed in front of her (Virginia’s) charm and her personality…Mrs Woolf has such a simplicity: she really gives the impression to be something of importing. She has no espece of affection…First of all we think that she has commonplace face, and a maniere of beauty sirituelle imposes upon you, and we discover a fascination to her contemplate. She is at once distant and human, she remains silent as long as she does not want to speak, but then she expresses herself magnificently well.
